Arcteq IEDs have been selected for Gecamines Sarl DRC mining facilities. The AQ F215 and F210 feeder protection IEDs and AQ T352 transformer protection IEDs are installed in 110kV and 6.6kV substations.
Arcteq IEDs are applied for protection, measurement, and control. All IEDs are communicating to facilities’ SCADA system using the IEC 61850 communication standard. Arcteq has also supplied fully selective arc protection systems to Gecamines’ new 6.6kV metal-clad switchgears. Gecamines adapted a new switchgear protection philosophy to all new 6.6kV switchgear.
