Description
The AQ-50 fault detection devices leave no fault in distribution networks unnoticed. They have a superior capability to detect even the most challenging faults, such as high-impedance and intermittent earth faults with a fault current as low as 0.5 A. This allows them to deliver a fault detection accuracy you can rely on.
The AQ-50 fault detection is based only on phase current measurements. This saves space and significantly reduces costs as there is no need for separate voltage measurements. All this makes AQ-50 devices easy to fit in both new and retrofit installations. The AQ-50 devices are applicable to any type of cable or overhead line distribution network whether they are compensated, isolated, or directly earthed.
Highlights:
- Three variants for up 1, 3, or 6 feeders.
- Detects even the most challenging faults, with a fault current as low as 0.5 A.
- Applicable to a wide variety of applications as devices can be ordered with up to 37 binary inputs, up to 22 binary outputs, and up to 9 phase current inputs.
- Comes with a built-in web interface.
- You can select two additional functionality options for your device:
- IEC 101 master protocol, and/or
- automatic fault location, isolation and service restoration (FLISR).
