Description
AQuench arc quenching devices for medium-voltage systems operate in less than 4 milliseconds from the detection of an arc flash to mitigate the risk of personnel injuries and damage to equipment. An AQuench device is installed as a part of an AQ 100 arc protection system. When an AQ 100 series device detects an arc fault, it simultaneously triggers the AQuench arc quenching system and trips the circuit breaker(s) that feed the fault. Then, the AQuench arc quenching device creates a low-impedance parallel path for the fault current to flow through.
We offer AQuench devices in two different rated voltages: up to 17.5 kV and up to 24 kV. Please read more about their technical specifications below.
Highlights:
- Auxiliary supply ranges from 110 to 250 V AC/DC.
- Includes the quenching device as well as its controller unit, reset tool, and connection cables.
- Additional connection fibers (3 m, 5 m, and 10 m) available.
- Applicable to both new and retrofit installations.
