Arcteq relays keep gaining footing as we expand our market into Central Asia

Arcteq´s success story continues as the company expands its network with a new partner from Kazakhstan, Almaenergy LLP, a local EPC company with wide experience in relay protection in the electric power sector, mining, and metallurgical production. The co-operation was kicked off with three intensive training days in the Arcteq headquarters in Vaasa this July.

Arcteq never sleeps – not even when the rest of the world slowly begins to quiet down for summer holidays. In the beginning of July, we had the pleasure of having our newest partner Almaenergy LLP from Kazakhstan as our guest in Vaasa.

Almaenergy LLP is a local EPC company with wide experience in relay protection: over the years they have implemented over 80 large scale projects within the electric power sector, mining, and metallurgical production. The company has been issued the state license for design, construction, and manufacturing of relay protection cabinets as well as other types of panels in Kazakhstan, but their market extends beyond the borders: they also have projects in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other CIS countries.

The visit to Vaasa included three intensive training days during which we provided Almaenergy´s engineers and their partners from Astana and Karaganda deeper knowledge on Arcteq´s product range and their vast functionalities. The focus was on AQ 210/250/300 series general and protection training. After the training the participants have the full knowledge of configuring all Arcteq devices with the tools available.

It was very good visit and very helpful in terms of further promotion of Arcteq in KZ market.”

Yevgeniy Ivanov, Sales director, ALMAENERGY LLP

New partnerships start in various ways, for instance through marketing efforts or mutual connections. This time the first tweet was heard through the grapevine. Before learning about Arcteq, Yevgeniy Ivanov, sales director at Almaenergy LLP was beforehand familiar with Vaasa area due to prior business connections. “I heard about a company there with ex R&D guys originally from other big companies who started their own business.“ This piqued Almaenergy´s interest. “We started to search online and found Arcteq.” The initial contact with us gave them a good first impression; everything proceeded very quickly, co-operation agreement was sealed and first visit to Vaasa booked within a couple of months from the first contact. At Arcteq we are very quick on our feet – both literally and figuratively speaking.

Almaenergy LLP was looking for a reliable partner with a strong brand in relay protection to cooperate with. In us, they found a partner whose products are of high quality, competitive and not currently presented in the KZ market as they wish to differentiate themselves from the big global companies with their own brands. Almaenergy aims to position themselves in Kazakstan as “one stop shop” for EPC solutions.

And great news! The first Arcteq products are already set to be installed in Kazakhstan thanks to our new partnership. Almaenergy has signed a contract with an EPC company Damu Qurylis group who is in charge of building all electrical facilities for Caspi Bitum factory. They will supply two transformer protection cabinets with Arcteq AQ 250 series relays.

Thank you for your trust, Almaenergy LLP! We are excited to have you join the Arcteq family.

Did we manage to pique your interest as well? Want to learn more about Arcteq and relay protection? Don´t hesitate to contact us.
