Webinar Wednesday: Case study: Cost savings and life time extension of 40 year old MV switchgear by installing re-usable arc quenching device

How to secure both the critical power supply and the safety of personnel working with non-arc resistant switchgear.

Duration: approximately 26 minutes

How to secure both the critical power supply and the safety of personnel working with non-arc resistant switchgear. A case study of Stora Enso’s Anjala pulp and paper mills who decided to prolong the lifetime of their 1976 substation by retrofitting circuit breakers and protection relays, and by installing a reusable arc quenching device. With the arc energy levels close to zero, they secure the personnel and the critical power supply for the next couple of decades. Arcteq’s relationship with Stora Enso began when we installed our revolutionary Motor Commanders to protect and control their synchronous motors.
